THE INTERNET IS FOR EVERYONE
As a key component of our 20th Anniversary celebration, the Global INET 2012 will serve as a beacon for industry, academia, NGOs, governments, and Internet Society members. The event will convene industry pioneers; global influencers; ISOC members, chapters and affiliated community; and Internet users to draw attention to the challenges and opportunities impacting the future of the Internet.
Scheduled 22-24 April 2012 at the International de Conférences Genève in Geneva, Switzerland, the Global INET 2012 is a 3 day programme of thought-leader plenary sessions and concurrent sessions. Our programme will include visionary keynotes and insightful roundtable discussion on critical topics including privacy, net neutrality, IPv6, security, digital content and innovation, and human rights and freedom of expression. And, with Pre-Conference workshops for our Chapters, Internet Leaders, and Business Executives, there will be many opportunities for learning,
sharing, and networking.
As part of the Global INET, we will host our 20th Anniversary Awards Gala on Monday, 23 April 2012. This very special evening will mark our 20th anniversary as our inaugural class of honorees is inducted into the new
Internet Hall of Fame.
