Abstract:

BYOD is a very interesting topic that invited both business and IT professionals into serious discussion. From the business perspective, BYOD is a way of cost saving, and providing  more mobility and flexibility towards a connected business network. From the IT professionals perspective,
the concerns over security, management and control of this devices with sensitive company data somehow barring the overall implementation and roll out of this concept.

We would like to discover some myths and truth on how BYOD can really benefit/hard any organization.

Speaker Profile

Stan Lee has been in the IT Security industry for the past 14 years, starting from a humble beginning of being the sole Sale Executive for Trend Micro Inc, a global anti malware solution provider back in 2000.

During his tenure, Trend Micro Inc Malaysia office has grown from a size of 2 staffs 24 by 2009, where his last position was the Country Sales Manager – Enterprise segment which cover all major commercial, government and GLC organizations.

His extensive experience in the IT security industry & customer space has earned him many awards and recognitions. Amongst others, The First Asia Pacific recipient of Excellent Performer for Trend Micro Global Award in 2003, 2004 and 2005, Top performer for Asia Pacific for 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
Stan has presented not less than 300 speeches in seminars, public events and exhibition covering numerous topics ranging from organizational best ICT security practices, to providing parents tips on safe internet usage and children internet access behaviors in public schools. His latest venture was to speak as guest series speaker to BFM 98.9, a reputable business radio station on topic related to social networking websites and its implications towards organizations, as well as guest speaker for PIKOM CIO Chapter (www.pikom.org.my). Through this in–depth experience, he is also the authorized Spoke person for IP-Guard (www.ip-guard.com) & DME ( www.dme.com), an End Point Data Leakage Prevention & System Management Solution provider for Malaysia and Singapore.

Stan is currently the Managing Director for local ICT Security solution provider, eCentrix Sdn Bhd, a local set up which specializes on Internet Continuity.
